Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Finance Committee Finance Committee Standing Committee Meeting June 7, 2023 Minutes - Final Call To Order AlderwomanTirney called the Regular Meeting to order at 10:35 am. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderwoman Tierney, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman O'Neill Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderwoman Finlayson moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda as amended to add SA-30-23. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes FC 5.4.23 Special Meeting Minutes Attachments: FC 5.4.23 Alderwoman Finlayson moved to approve FC 5.4.23. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Supplemental Appropriations SA-30-23 General - Mayor’s Office - Contributions from Visitor Center and Anne Arundel County Arts Council $67,100 Attachments: SA-30-23 Chief of Staff Petit was present to answer questions from the committee. Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend SA-30-23 favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Legislation City of Annapolis Page 2 Finance Committee Standing Committee Meeting June 7, 2023 Minutes - Final O-19-23 Property tax credits for 9-1-1 Specialists and Public Safety Officers - For the purpose of granting property tax credits and property tax relief allowed by Maryland state law for the City of Annapolis 9-1-1 specialists and public safety officers in the Annapolis Fire Department and Police Department; and generally related to city tax credits. Sponsors: Gay, Alderwoman Tierney and Mayor Buckley Attachments: O-19-23 First Reader O-19-23 Legislative Summary O-19-23 Fiscal Impact Note O-19-23 Staff Report Legislative & Policy Analyst Reuter and Finance Director Dickinson were present to answer questions from the committee. O-20-23 Chesapeake Nautical Cruises, LLC, Lease - For the purpose of authorizing a City of Annapolis pilot lease with Chesapeake Nautical Cruises, LLC, for docking space at City Dock; and generally related to City Dock boat slips and boardwalk. General Discussion ID-25-23 Finance Department Update Finance Director Dickinson was present to answer questions from the committee.
