1. Call To Order
Chairwoman Henson called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
2. Roll Call
Present: 3- Alderwoman Henson, Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Rodriguez
3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here)
Alderman Rodriguez moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. The motion
carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Alderwoman Henson, Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Rodriguez

Alderwoman Tierney moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was
taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:

b. Appointments and reappointments to Committees
AP-53-18 The Re-Appointment of Jeffrey R. Macris to the Annapolis Education
Commission
Public Engagement & Community Relations Specialist Rowel, present
on behalf of appointee, and Alderwoman Finlayson were present and
answered questions from the committee.
Alderman Rodriguez moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call
vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Alderwoman Henson, Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Rodriguez
5. Legislation before Committee
O-45-18 Fair Housing - Unlawful housing practices - For the purpose of including a
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher holder as one of the protected categories under
City of Annapolis Page 1

the City of Annapolis Fair Housing laws; and providing a definition of ‘source of
income’”.
Jessie Keller, 1155 Tall Point Blvd, was present in support of the
legislation.
Add Alderwoman Tierney as a co-sponsor.
Alderwoman Tierney moved to adopt the Henson amendments. Seconded. A roll
call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Alderwoman Henson, Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Rodriguez
Alderwoman Tierney moved to recommend with amendments. Seconded. A roll
call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Alderwoman Henson, Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Rodriguez
6. Adjournment
Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted, the meeting was adjourned at
6:33 p.m.
