Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Housing and Human Welfare Committee Housing and Human Welfare Standing Committee Meeting August 4, 2021 Committee Minutes Call To Order Acting Chairman Schandelmeier called the meeting to order at 6:37 p.m. Roll Call Present: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Schandelmeier Absent: 1- Chairperson Gay Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderwoman Tierney moved to adopt the Special Meeting Agenda. Seconded. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Schandelmeier Absent: 1- Chairperson Gay 1. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes HHW04.19.2 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 1 Attachments: HHW04.19.21 Alderwoman Tierney moved to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Schandelmeier Absent: 1- Chairperson Gay HHW06.21.2 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 1 Attachments: HHW06.21.21 Alderwoman Tierney moved to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Schandelmeier Absent: 1- Chairperson Gay 2. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Schandelmeier Absent: 1- Chairperson Gay Alderwoman Tierney moved to Recommend Favorably-Amendment 2: On page 5, strike lines 25 down through 26, and sequentially re-letter the subparagraphs accordingly. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Alderman Schandelmeier Absent: 1- Chairperson Gay Assistant City Attorney Braithwaite was present and answered questions from the Committee. Alderwoman Tierney moved to recommend with amendments O-9-21. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken.
