Call To Order Chairwoman Finlayson called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderman Paone, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Pindell Charles 2. Legislation before Committee O-21-15 Nonstandard Vehicles Definition - For the purpose of amending the definition of Nonstandard Vehicles to include all such vehicles including pedicabs and for-hire Segways. Attachments: O-21-15 Nonstandard Vehicles.docx O-21-15 Staff Report.docx O-21-15 Fiscal Impact.pdf Alderman Paone moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Paone, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Pindell Charles 3. Business before Committee Approval of Minutes PSC042015 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting Attachments: April 20, 2015 Alderman Paone moved to approve. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Paone, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Pindell Charles 4. General Discussion ID-249-15 APD- Hiring Efforts & Crime in the City of Annapolis Police Chief Pristoop gave an update on crime statistics in the City of Annapolis. Recruitment Officer Parker gave a presentation on the Annapolis Police Department staffing and hiring efforts. This Informational Item was presented ID-260-15 Fire Department - Training Exercises in the City of Annapolis Fire Deputy Chief Remaley gave a brief update on Fire Training Exercises in the City of Annapolis. Firefighter First Class McGill was present and answered question from the committee. Deputy Fire Chief Simmons gave a presentation on improving communications with non english speaking persons. Office Associate Schultz Firefighter Bud Zapata and Misha Callahan was present and gave a live presentation of (ELSA) Enabling Language Service Anywhere device.
