Call To Order Chairwoman Finlayson called the meeting to order at 5:11 p.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderman Paone, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Pindell Charles 2. Business before Committee Approval of Minutes PSC101716 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting Attachments: PSC10.17.16.pdf Alderman Paone moved to approve. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. General Discussion ID-439-16 Community Policing Plan Police Chief Pristoop gave an overview of the discussion topic and spoke on geography accountability, net teams, supervisor geography assignment and answered questions from the committee. This Informational Item was presented ID-440-16 Changes in Deployment to Public Housing Police Chief gave an update on the discussion topic and spoke on operation division, k- 9 units, flex teams, patrol units, community meetings, net teams, professional standards and answered questions from the committee. This Informational Item was presented ID-433-16 Annapolis Police Kids Club Attachments: ice_skating_flyer.pdf Police Chief Pristoop gave an introduction of the discussion topic and answered questions from the committee. Community Relations Specialist Norris gave an overview and spoke on the Navy basketball game, Maryland State Police Aviation Command Center, safety day, Bayhawks lacrosse game, CSI Day, community partners, Naval Academy ice skating rink and answered questions from the committee. Miquez spoke on the discussion topic and answered questions from the committee. Community Relations Specialist Norris also spoke on the discussion topic and answered questions from the committee. This Informational Item was presented ID-435-16 Fire and Life Safety Awareness Program for the Residents at Morris Blum Senior Apartments Deputy Fire Chief Simmons gave an introduction of the discussion topic and answered questions from the committee. Fire fighter/paramedic White gave an overview and spoke the kitchen fire safety program, christmas trees fires, fire extinguishers and answered questions from the committee. This Informational Item was presented ID-436-16 Stanton Center Winter Relief Program Fire Deputy Chief Simmons gave an introduction of the discussion topic and answered questions from the committee. Program Administrator Queen gave an overview of the discussion topic and spoke on warming shelter, daily operations, facility management, and answered questions from the committee, 353 referrals & 25 activations. This Informational Item was presented ID-437-16 Review of the FEMA Reimbursement for Snow Related Activities and Emergency Protective Measures taken by the City of Annapolis for the January 2016 Snowstorm. Deputy Fire Chief Simmons gave an overview of the discussion topic and spoke on... winter storm Jonas 2016, FEMA, Annapolis receiving 75% of eligible cost for winter storm Jonas and answered questions from the committee. This Informational Item was presented ID-438-16 ISO Updates Fire Chief Stokes gave an overview of the discussion topic and spoke on Insurance Services Office (ISO), ISO factors: water supply, training, equipment, 911 dispatch center, fire investigation abilities, staffing, community risk reduction, fire prevention activities and answered questions from the committee. This Informational Item was presented ID-441-16 Update on Public Safety Working Group Alderman Fred Paone gave an update on the discussion topic and answered questions from the committee. 4.
