Chairwoman Finlayson called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m.

AP-93-19 The Re-Appointment of Kathie Sulick to the Police and Fire Retirement
Commission
Fire Chief Stokes was present and spoke to the candidate.
Alderwoman Tierney moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call
vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Tierney
Absent: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Henson
AP-94-19 The Appointment of John Wardell to the Retirement Plan Commission
Fire Chief Stokes was present and spoke about the candidate.
Alderwoman Tierney moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call
vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Tierney
Absent: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Henson

O-1-19 Fair Housing - Protected Classes - For the purpose of adding protected
classes to the Annapolis Fair Housing laws and including additional unlawful housing

Alderwoman Tierney moved to approve "Amendment No. 1 Rodriguez"
amendments. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the
following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Tierney
Absent: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Henson
Alderman Rodriguez was present and addressed the committee.
Alderwoman Tierney moved to recommend with amendments. Seconded. A roll
call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Tierney
Absent: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Henson
O-15-19 The Office of Emergency Management - For the purpose of making technical
and other corrections to the Office of Emergency Management section of the City
Code; clarifying the role of the Harbormaster during a public emergency, making
certain stylistic changes; and generally related to emergency management.
Office of Emergency Management Deputy Director Mandell, and Fire Chief Stokes
were present and answered questions from the committee.
Alderwoman Tierney moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote
was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman Tierney
Absent: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Henson
6. Adjournment
Sgt Vaden, and Acting Police Chief Herman were present and provided the
committee with summer camp dates.
Fire Chief Stokes was present and provided the committee with a history of Office of
Emergency Management.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted, the meeting was adjourned at
3:29 p.m.
