Call To Order Chairwoman Pindell Charles called the meeting to order at 4:12 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Paone 3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Add Forest Drive/Easport Sector Study s and c (Ald. Paone) Alderman Paone moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda as amended. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Paone Absent: 1- Henson 4. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes PSC03.04.1 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 9 approve Alderman Paone moved to adopt as amended. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderman Paone Absent: 1- Henson ID-328-18 “Public Safety: Spotlight!”-APD Acting Police Chief Herman and Captain Sydel were present and presented the Officer of the Month, and spoke on the Fundraiser for the scholarship. Also mentioned that the Department will be receiving 8 new cars. ID-329-18 “Public Safety: Spotlight!”-AFD Alderwoman Tierney, Deputy Chief Remaley, and Police Captain Sydel were present and spoke on the Fentanyl strips. Deputy Fire Chief Remaley was present and gave their spotlight for the month. ID-330-18 “Public Safety: Spotlight!”-OEM Deputy Chief Mandel, Office Associate IV Queen, and Firefighter Barnett were present and answered questions from the committee. Alderwoman Tierney was present and answered questions from the committee. ID-332-18 “Public Safety: Did You Know?” - OEM ID-333-18 “Public Safety: Did You Know?” - APD ID-334-18 APD Update: Written Report and Comments, Year to Date Overdose Summary Captain Sydel and Acting Police Chief Herman was present and reported the statistics for the opioid crisis. ID-335-18 AFD Update: Written Report and Comments, Year to Date Overdose Summary Deputy Fire Chief Remaley was present and presented statistics of Narcan and Safe Stations calls. 5. Legislation before Committee O-4-19 Special Residential Parking Districts - Parking Permits - For the purpose of transferring the residential parking permit program to the Department of Transportation; clarifying the eligibility requirements for resident, nonresident and temporary parking permits; and specifying the restrictions on parking permits issued under the residential parking permit program. Alderwoman Tierney was present and provided the committee with a background on the legislation. Transportation Director Gordon was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Paone moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Henson 6.
