Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Public Safety Committee Public Safety Committee Standing Committee Meeting December 14, 2020 Minutes Call To Order Chairwoman Rhonda Pindell Charles called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Paone moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay 1. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes PSC12.07.2 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 0 Alderman Paone moved to remove PSC12.07.20 from the agenda. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay 2. Supplemental Appropriations SA-20-21 Grant Fund - Police Department - Maryland Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention Revenue: State Grant Revenue - Exploring Predictive Policing ($100,000.00) Expenditure: State Grant Expense - Exploring Predictive Policing ($100,000.00) Alderman Gay moved to continue SA-20-21 until the December 21, 2020 Special Public Safety meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay 3. Fund Transfers FT-4-21 General Fund Mayor, Fire, Police Transfer From: Fire Salaries and Benefits ($37,500.00); Police Salaries and Benefits ($37,500.00) Transfer To: Mayor Supplies and Other ($28,300.00); Mayor Contractual Services ($46,700.00) Mayor's Chief of Staff Smith, City Manager Jarrell, African-American Liaison Ajayi, Police Administrative Manager McCoy, Police Chief Jackson, and Law Enforcement Assistant Diversion Program Project Manager Edwards were present and answered City of Annapolis Page 1 Public Safety Committee Standing Committee Meeting December 14, 2020 Minutes questions from the Committee. Alderman Arnett, and Alderwoman Tierney were present and addressed the Committee. Alderman Gay moved to recommend favorably FT-4-21. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken.
