Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Public Safety Committee Public Safety Committee Standing Committee Meeting June 14, 2021 Minutes Call To Order Chairwoman Pindell Charles called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Paone moved to adopt the Special Meeting Agenda. Seconded. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay 1. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes PSC04.05.2 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 1 Attachments: PSC04.05.21 Alderman Paone moved to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderman Gay Presentations ID-146-21 State Compliance with Law Enforcement Reforms Discussion: Review State Legislation Compliance Opening Remarks, APD Chief Edward Jackson Police Chief Jackson, and Deputy Police Chief Brandford, were present and answered questions from the Committee. Comments, APD Deputy Chief Stanley Brandford Police Deputy Chief Brandford was present and answered questions from the Committee. Introduction/Overview, APD Administrative Manager Ronda McCoy Police Administrative Manager McCoy, City Manager Jarrell, Police Deputy Chief Brandford, and Police Chief Edwards, were present and answered questions from the Committee.
