Call To Order
Chairwoman Pindell Charles called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.
Roll Call
Alderman Gay arrived at 4:10 p.m.
Present: 3- Alderman Gay, Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderwoman O'Neill
Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here)
Alderwoman O'Neill moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda as amended to
add the Annapolis United Report to the agenda. Seconded. The motion carried
by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderwoman Pindell Charles and Alderwoman O'Neill
Absent: 1- Alderman Gay

Alderwoman O'Neill moved to approve the Minutes for the Regular Meeting.
Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following
vote:

R-15-22 Anne Arundel County Coalition for Police Accountability
Recommendations - For the purpose of expressing support for the
recommendations of the Anne Arundel County Coalition for Police Accountability;
and urging the County Executive and County Council to adopt those
recommendations as amendments to HB 16-22 in establishing a Police Accountability
Board.

Assistant City Attorney Berger, Police Administrative Manager McCoy, and Deputy
Police Chief Brandford were present and answered questions from the committee.
Alderwoman Pindell Charles would like to enter the testimony received at the
Rules and City Government Committee meeting on Friday, April 1, 2022 into the
record for today's Public Safety Committee meeting.
Alderwoman O'Neill moved to recommend favorably R-15-22. Seconded. A roll
call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 2- Alderman Gay and Alderwoman O'Neill
Nay: 1- Alderwoman Pindell Charles
