1. Call To Order
The Chair called the Meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.
Present: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Arnett
2. Legislation before Committee
O-13-14 Repeal of Police Residency Requirement - For the purpose of repealing the
requirement that sworn employees of the Police Department reside within a
thirty-mile road radius from the City line.

Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call
vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Arnett
O-6-14 Seasonal Outdoor Sales - For the purpose of amending the zoning code to
address seasonal outdoor sales.

Acting Planning Director Nash discussed the legislation. The committee reviewed the
Planning Commission Amendments. The committee support the Planning Commission
Amendments #1-4 but would like to see them redrafted and review the legislation again.
Alderwoman Finlayson moved to support the planning commission amendments.
Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote:

The Committee discussed the scheduling of a closed session to discuss Planning and
Zoning Director position.

Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted, the meeting was adjourned at
