Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers 1. Call To Order The Chair called the Meeting to order at 4:10 p.m. Present: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Arnett 2. Legislation before Committee O-13-14 Repeal of Police Residency Requirement - For the purpose of repealing the requirement that sworn employees of the Police Department reside within a thirty-mile road radius from the City line. Attachments: O-13-14 Signed.pdf O-13-14.docx Staff Report.docx Fiscal Impact Note.pdf Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Arnett O-6-14 Seasonal Outdoor Sales - For the purpose of amending the zoning code to address seasonal outdoor sales. The committee reviewed the Planning Commission Amendments. The committee support the Planning Commission Amendments #1-4 but would like to see them redrafted and review the legislation again. Alderwoman Finlayson moved to support the planning commission amendments. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Arnett RC042414 Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting Attachments: April 24, 2014 Alderwoman Finlayson moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Arnett 4. General Discussion The Committee discussed the scheduling of a closed session to discuss Planning and Zoning Director position. 5.
