Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Rules & City Government Committee Rules & City Government Standing Committee Minutes February 12, 2019 Committee 1. Call To Order Chairwoman Finlayson called the meeting to order at 4:07 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 3- Finlayson, Savidge and Arnett 3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Arnett moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Finlayson, Savidge and Arnett 4. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes RCG01.08.1 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 9 Arnett moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Finlayson, Savidge and Arnett b. Appointments and reappointments to Committees AP-58-18 The Re-Appointment of Kevin A. Chase to the Ethics Commission Kevin A. Chase was present and answered questions from the committee. Rec Fav Arnett moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Finlayson, Savidge and Arnett AP-59-18 The Re-Appointment of Pegeen Townsend to the Ethics Commission AP-61-18 The Appointment of Nadine Chien to the Board of Appeals Will reschedule for the next Rules meeting. c. Annual Election of Committee Chair Alderman Arnett moved to approve the re-election of Alderwoman Finlayson as the Rules and City Government Committee Chair. Legislation before Committee CA-2-18 Aldermanic Titles - Charter Updates - For the purpose of including gender specific designations for certain members of the City Council in the Annapolis City Charter. Alderman Arnett moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Finlayson, Savidge and Arnett 6. Adjournment Kevin A. Chase, representing the Ethics Commission, was present and addressed the committee.
