The Chair called the Meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.

The committee discussed the issues surrounding cab drivers in Annapolis.
Mr. Klien discussed a "Taxi Medallion" method of regulating the taxi industry. Robert
Edes, 32 Pleasent Street, spoke on the Transit Inspector position.
Dawn Young, 1814 Copeland Street spoke on the Transit Inspector position.
George Peters, 1079 Woodlawn Ave, Passadena MD spoke on the Transit Inspector
position.
Harold Little. 300 Bluewater Ct. #101, Glen Burnie, MD spoke on the Transit Inspector
position.
the Taxi Drivers offered a petition supporting the Transit Inspector position.
Alderman Kirby moved to recommend favorably to retain the Transit Inspector
with funds from raising inspection fees. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote.

Finance Director Miller reviewed the transportation spreadsheets (attached). Mr. Miller
reviewed the proposed changes (attached).
Mr. Jay Tucker, local 3409, spoke on the Transportation Budget.

Ms. Jameka Mackall, AFSCME 3162, spoke on the transportation budget.
Acting Director Duah discussed the proposed changes.
Acting City Manager Woodward discussed the Transportation Budget suggesting that
the staff will continue to look at the budget and fine tune their recommendations.
The committee discussed the parking funds and the cost of complementary services.
2. Legislation before Committee
R-16-14 Regional Transit - For the purpose of expressing the sense of the City Council
that the concept of regional transit warrants further exploration with the
jurisdictions that are interested in pursuing a regional transportation entity.

Alderman Budge moved to postpone. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The
motion CARRIED by the following vote:
