Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Transportation Committee Transportation Committee Standing Committee Meeting April 11, 2019 Minutes 1. Call To Order Chairwoman Tierney called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 1- Alderwoman Tierney Absent: 1- Alderwoman Pindell Charles 3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Rodriguez moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. The motion was DEFEATED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Rodriguez Absent: 1- Alderwoman Pindell Charles 4. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes TC03.14.19 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting approve Alderman Rodriguez moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Alderwoman Tierney and Rodriguez Absent: 1- Alderwoman Pindell Charles ID-416-19 FDE Sector Study Draft Alderman Arnett, Planning and Zoning Comprehensive Planner Nash, and Planning and Zoning Director Gutwald were present and answered questions from the committee. Robert Waldman, representing the Planning Commission was present and addressed the committee. 5. Legislation before Committee O-4-19 Special Residential Parking Districts - Parking Permits - For the purpose of transferring the residential parking permit program to the Department of Transportation; clarifying the eligibility requirements for resident, nonresident and temporary parking permits; and specifying the restrictions on parking permits issued City of Annapolis Page 1 Transportation Committee Standing Committee Meeting April 11, 2019 Minutes under the residential parking permit program. Tom Rekus, 163 Prince George Street, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 representing the Ward One Residents Association. No one else from the general public spoke in favor or in opposition to the ordinance. 4/1/19 Public Safety Committee recommend favorably Alderwoman Tierney was present and provided the committee with a background on the legislation. Transportation Director Gordon was present and answered questions from the committee. 6.
