Discussion City of Apache Junction, Arizona Page 1 Special Meeting of the Apache Meeting Minutes June 16, 2014 Junction City Council only. Assistant City Manager Bryant Powell briefed the council on the item. Mayor Insalaco called for any council discussion. There were no comments and he moved on to the next item. 2. 14-303 Public hearing on proposed final budget for Fiscal Year 2014-2015. This is a required public hearing that must be held in conjunction with final budget adoption (Arizona Revised Statutes Title 42, Section 17103). Public hearing only. ) Mayor Insalaco opened the public hearing on the item. There being no one wishing to speak, he closed the public hearing and moved on to the next item. 3. 14-301 Proposed Resolution No. 14-19, a resolution of the mayor and city council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, fully adopting estimates of expenditures by the City of Apache Junction for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2014, and ending June 30, 2015; declaring establishment of the budget for the City of Apache Junction for Fiscal Year 2014-2015; and declaring an emergency. Consideration and action. Yes 7- Mayor Insalaco,Vice Mayor Barker,Councilmember Evans,Council Member Rizzi,Councilmember Serdy,Councilmember Waldron andCouncilmember Wilson No 0 City Clerk Kathleen Connelly stated the next step is to vote on the final budget adoption resolution. Mayor Insalaco called for a motion. Vice Mayor Barker MOVED THAT RESOLUTION NO. 14-19, A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, FULLY ADOPTING ESTIMATES OF EXPENDITURES BY THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2014, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2015; DECLARING ESTABLISHMENT OF THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, BE APPROVED. Councilmember Waldron SECONDED THE MOTION. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion carried.
