He discussed revenue sharing, unfunded mandates, local road funding and transparency. He will stay after the meeting to answer any questions. Spohn Ranch: Representatives Tom and Sabin travel around the United States developing skate parks. Construction of our new skate park has started and they expect it to be completed in approximately two months. Ayes: Smith, Paterek, Kanehl, Finlay, Swiacki Motion CARRIED NEW BUSINESS: Zoning Ordinance Amendments: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Paterek to request from planner hi-lighted copies of the zoning ordinance changes for next month’s meeting. Ayes: Smith, Paterek, Kanehl, Finlay, Swiacki Motion CARRIED Fire Dept.: Creation of Fire Marshal Position: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Paterek to approve the creation of a Fire Marshal position within the Armada Township Fire Department; Duties and responsibilities per the written job description. The Fire Marshal shall be granted authority to inspect properties within Armada Township for Fire and related Life Safety hazards per the adopted Fire and Building Codes, and shall have the authority to order corrective measures to reduce/eliminate said Fire and Life safety hazards with the Fire Chiefs concurrence. Ayes: Paterek Nays: Finlay, Swiacki, Kanehl, Smith Motion CARRIED FY17/18 – New line item(s) – General Fund: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Paterek to add line item(s): #101.000.674.000 – AB&B Skate Park Contribution with a beginning balance of $100,000 #101.000.980.139 – AB&B Skate Park Expenses with a beginning balance of $100,000 Ayes: Finlay, Smith, Kanehl, Swiacki, Paterek Motion CARRIED Fire Dept.: MABAS Agreement: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Paterek to approve the Township Supervisor and Township Fire Chief to sign the inter-local agreement establishing Armada Townships formal participation in the MACOMB COUNTY FIRE CHIEF ASSOCIATION AND MUTUAL AID BOX ALARM SYSTEM DIVISION 3204. Thereby voiding all previous agreements related to MABAS and Fire Services Mutual Aid, and improving the regional cooperative effort of lending personnel and equipment for Fire Services.
