Armada Township Board Regular Board Meeting Minutes 23121 East Main Armada, MI 48005 January 13, 2016 7:00 p.m. CALL TO ORDER: 7 p.m. by Supervisor Paterek PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: MEMBERS PRESENT: Goetzinger, LeMieux, Swiacki, Paterek MEMBER ABSENT: Smith, excused MINUTES: Motion by Swiacki seconded by LeMieux to approve regular meeting minutes of December 9, 2015 as presented. Motion CARRIED SET/AMEND AGENDA: Motion by LeMieux seconded by Swiacki to approve agenda as amended: Remove 11-i) Fire Fund 2015/16 budget amendments. Add under new business: 11-j) Board of Review reappointment. Correspondence/Information add: The Record. Motion CARRIED UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: C.D.B.G. Public Hearing: Is set for February 10, 2016 at 7 p.m. Fire Department: Payroll secretary hourly wage. Motion by Swiacki seconded Goetzinger by to increases hourly wage for Sandra Hoxie to $8.50 effective January 1, 2016. Fire Chief Reynolds will update the board next month as to managing payroll utilizing full time employees. Motion CARRIED Resolution #2016-01: Annual Exemption Public Act 152 0f 2011: Motion by Paterek seconded by Swiacki to approve Resolution #2016-01 as presented for 2016. Ayes: Paterek, LeMieux, Goetzinger, Swiacki Motion CARRIED Village of Armada – E. Main Street Invoice: Motion by Paterek seconded by LeMieux to approve invoice not to exceed the amount of $34,020.65 for the townships reimbursement of East Main Street construction and engineering costs, pending outcome that sewer is not to be included in the bill. Ayes: LeMieux, Swiacki, Goetzinger, Paterek Motion CARRIED Cleaning Bids: Motion by Swiacki seconded by LeMieux to accept Good and Clean Janitorial Inc., bid for a three- year cleaning contract beginning January 14, 2016 and ending January 14, 2019 as presented. Ayes: Goetzinger, Swiacki, LeMieux, Paterek Motion CARRIED . Transfer Site Bids: Motion by Paterek seconded LeMieux by to accept Scene Scape Busy Bee’s bid for a three-year contract beginning February 1, 2016 ending January 31, 2019 as presented and to inform owner that the township will be looking into a single waste hauler within the year and he can submit a bid for service. Ayes: LeMieux, Paterek, Swiacki, Goetzinger Motion CARRIED Fire Department – Apparatus door repair: Motion by Paterek seconded LeMieux by to approve payment to Michigan Door Systems, low bidder, for repairs to the firehouse apparatus doors for $1,405.00.
