MEMBERS PRESENT: Murray, Grembi, Goetzinger, Swiacki, Paterek MEMBERS ABSENT: None MINUTES: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Murray to approve April 13 regular minutes as presented. Motion CARRIED 1 ARMADA TOWNSHIP BOARD Regular Meeting Minutes 23121 East Main Armada, MI 48005 May 11, 2022 7:00 p.m. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Residential Solid Waste Collection, Disposal and Recycling: Trustee Goetzinger and Treasurer Murray met with our attorney and the Village of Armada’s attorney to discuss if there is a true value in bidding together. They would like to meet with local waste haulers to ask further questions and how to move forward. NEW BUSINESS: Ballot language and Resolution approving ballot proposition for November 8, 2022 General Election – Addition of Trustees to a General Law Township Board: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Murray to approve Resolution No. 2022-04 – Resolution Approving Ballot Proposition for Number of Trustees 2022. Ayes: Murray, Swiacki, Grembi Nays: Paterek, Goetzinger Motion CARRIED Limestone Program Cost Share Agreement 2022: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Paterek to to approve cost sharing agreement from the Macomb County Department of Roads in the amount of $26,595. (Project for roads are as follows: Romeo Plank from Pratt south for one mile, 33 Mile Road from Powell east for two miles). All Ayes Motion CARRIED FY22/23 General Fund Budget Amendment(s): Motion by Swiacki seconded by Paterek to approve amendment as presented: From Line 101.446.930.001 Maintenance/Chloride Roads move $1,590 to line #101.446.930.012 Limestone All Ayes: Motion CARRIED Green Zone: Motion by Paterek seconded by Grembi to allow the township to move forward through planning and its attorneys to opt back into the program and create a green zone ordinance and application process. Ayes: Paterek, Grembi Nays: Murray, Swiacki, Goetzinger Motion FAILED Water Main Utility: Motion by Paterek seconded by Swiacki to have the board consider looking into the running water down Powell Road either potentially with a special assessment split with business owners or funded thorough a bond that would be voted on by the taxpayers. Ayes: Paterek Nays: Murray, Grembi, Swiacki, Goetzinger Motion FAILED BOARD COMMENTS: Trustee Goetzinger, Trustee Grembi, Treasurer Murray, Clerk Swiacki, Supervisor Paterek.
