Page 1 of 17 Storm Water Utility Committee Minutes December 9, 2025 The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. Present: Karen Klinkhammer, Bob Reisch, Kathy Bahl (virtual), Jessica Anderschau and Adam Mueller. Absent: Steve Thompson. Also present were: Beth Bonz, Dean Mattoon (virtual), Eric Schmechel (virtual), Samantha Fiegen (virtual). Klinkhammer moved to approve the minutes from the 10/14/25 Meeting. Seconded by Mueller. Motion carried. (all ayes) The committee discussed the cost share program. Eric will work with his team to pull together a fact sheet that would include types of projects that would qualify for the cost share program and estimates of costs. This should be ready for the spring city newsletter. Jessica is on the waitlist at the University of Iowa for a committee of students to review our current mowing. City sites will be reviewed to establish demonstration areas for native plantings and rain gardens. Jessica will create a mural program for the city that includes a contest. This will be rolled out to the public in our spring newsletter. Locations for the mural paintings at storm drains are tbd. Mueller moved to adjourn at 6:17 p.m. Seconded by Klinkhammer.
