Page 1 of 17 Storm Water Utility Committee Minutes February 10, 2026 The meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m. Present: Mark Schemmel, Bob Reisch, Jessica Anderschau, Adam Mueller and Samantha Fiegen. Absent: Steve Thompson and Kathy Bahl. Also present: Beth Bonz. Mueller moved to approve the minutes from the 12/9/2025 Meeting. Seconded by Anderschau. Motion carried. (all ayes) Fiegen presented the BMP Cost Estimate – Stormwater BMP’s report she prepared to assist with cost estimation for the cost share program for rain gardens/bioretention and soil quality restoration. The City will put a notice in the February newsletter to accept applications for cost share projects. A list of qualified contractors will be developed. Update on Mowing Plan and transition to natural area. Beth will contact EOCENE for a quote to establish a test plot of natural grasses by Asbury City Hall. Mural Project Update. Jessica has applied for a Paint Iowa Beautiful Grant to fund the paint for the murals. Ideas include doing an Earth Day promotion. Potential mural locations were discussed. Final decisions will be made based on qualified applications received. Mueller moved to adjourn at 6:35 p.m. Seconded by Anderschau. Motion carried.
