NOTICE OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING The Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Athens, Alabama, will hold a work session at 5:15 p.m., followed by the annual meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, at 200 W. Hobbs Street, on Thursday, October 20, 2016, for the purpose of hearing the following applications and appeals. At this time, the applicant and all interested parties are requested to be present and will be given the opportunity to be heard. Case #1 Request of Thomas and Brenda Bailey for a variance to the Zoning Ordinance to reduce the required road frontage of potential lots from 100 ft to 50 ft. The property is a vacant 20.5 acre parcel located on the south side of Compton Rd just east of 22732 Compton Rd and zoned R-1-1 Single Family Residential. Case #2 Request of Robert and Erika Blair for a special exception to the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a detached accessory dwelling for family members (aging parents).
