Items Discussed:
1. Open Meetings Guidelines
Lisa Pappas led a discussion and ans ered questions concerning Georgia s Open Meetings
regulations and additional A-CCUG rules and guidelines. The follo ing points ere included:
● A-CCUG is planning an upcoming training session on meetings and records for
all members of A-CC boards, commissions, and committees.
● An time a meeting is held and a quorum of members and/or of sub-committee
members is present, that meeting must be publicl noticed ahead of time and
attendance and minutes must be recorded and filed.
● E -officio ACAC members count to ard the quorum of committee and
subcommittee meetings.
● The opportunit for public comment is not required for ACAC s committee or
subcommittee meetings.
● Seven da s notice is required for regularl scheduled meetings; emergenc
meetings ma require less notice.

● Unless the A-CCUG pandemic emergenc guidelines are reinstated b the Ma or
and Commission, beginning in August 2022 all ACAC meetings ill be required
to be held in person, open to the public.
● The A-CCUG Commission is planning on requiring LiveStreaming of all public
meetings beginning in October 2022.
NEW ACTION ITEM:
Lisa Pappas ill check on hether art project site visits are considered meetings that fall under
Open Meetings and Records rules and ill report back to ACAC.
2. Chair’s Report
Andre Salinas deferred further discussion of ACAC Task Forces and orking priorities until
the August 2022 meeting.
3. Treasurer’s Report
Identif ing spending priorities as deferred until the August 2022 meeting.
4. Project Reports
Tatiana Veneruso reported on the follo ing projects:
● The ne t t o calls for Green a projects ere posted Jul 8 and ill be open until
August 28.
● The Count is looking at late August 2022 to finali e the Cla ton Street installation.
● Firefl II has t o projects a aiting approval b the Ma or and Commission.
● Tatiana is drafting the calls for art for the Arena project.
● The Bishop Park I User Group ill be meeting soon.
● The Athens Music Walk of Fame ne inductees ere announced at AthFest and the ne
plaques have been ordered.
5. Arts in Community Awards
● All Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 AICA project final reports have been received.
● Madeline Bates ill gather questions for the Count Attorne s Office concerning
requirements for AICA calls and a ards. Madeline ill request a meeting ith the
Attorne s Office as soon as possible.
6. Old Business
Tatiana reported that Ellie S enson, the Arts Coordinator Intern, has done research into artist
attribution for all ACAC-sponsored projects. Ellie did not find an e isting industr standard
for plaques on public art, but e amples can be found.
NEW ACTION ITEM:
Tatiana ill continue orking on this project, including estimating ongoing operational costs,
prices, and suggestions and ill bring recommendations to the August 2022 meeting.
7. Outreach Team Report
The Outreach Team did not meet in June.

8. Strategy Team Report
The Strateg Team did not meet in June; this team ill be responsible for drafting an annual
ork plan as has been suggested b Athens-Clarke Unified Government. Count staff ill assist.
9. Internship Update
Stephanie reported that Eleanor S enson, the intern ACAC is currentl funding, has a
preliminar report read and ill present a final report to the entire group at an agreed-upon
time.
10. Task Forces Update
In lieu of group meetings, Andre ill designate a lead person to accomplish some fact-finding
estimates on the feasibilit of proposed Task Force projects. This point person ill report at
monthl meetings.
NEW ACTION ITEM:
Stephanie or Tatiana ill send an online poll to ACAC members and advisors in order to select a
time for Ellie s presentation.
11. Upcoming local arts and cultural events were announced.

● Approval of the June 2022 meeting Minutes as deferred until the August meeting.
● Arts in Communit A ards:
○ Donna Brumb moved that, due to timing issues related to the Commission
adapting to previousl unaddressed A-CCUG requirements, instead of breaking
each ear s AICA calls into t o separate times (as has been the ACAC process in
the past), that all AICA calls be issued together and as quickl as possible for
FY23. Madeline seconded. During discussion, Helen Ku kendall requested an
amendment to state the a ard numbers and amounts for FY23 (five a ards at
$5000 each). Andre seconded the amendment. The motion, as amended, as
passed unanimousl .
