Athens in Motion has $12,000 in the budget for the fiscal year ending in June 2022.
Overview of topics we will develop for next meeting:
1. Review the AiM Plan marketing materials section to see if any messages might work for any
of our target audiences (drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, students)
2. Develop ideas for social media and find software to coordinate and schedule messaging.
3. Finalize list of topics to highlight in messaging:
- Infrastructure projects and funding
- Georgia bike laws
- Safety (PSAs radio, social media, signage)
- Driver education
4. Plan for media campaign for May 2022 – Bike Safety Month (USDOT)
5. Coordinate with Safe Routes to Schools for walk/bike counts day (Maybe offer award
certificate (or something non-cash) to school with greatest percentage/number of
participants?) (see Downloadable materials signs-and-banners )
6. UGA Orientation table “Watch for Dogs” and other safety messages, etc.
7. Reach out to Toole about developing materials for various media.
8. Develop tabling materials for different audiences.
