a. Meeting called to order at 4:10 pm

a. Recent string of traffic related fatalities –
i. 2 Pedestrian Fatalities this month (East Broad Street near Hickory Street and
West Broad Street near Alps Road)
ii. 1 bike fatality last month (Pittard Road)
iii. 1 motorcycle fatality on Sunday (Epps Bridge)
4. Approval of Minutes (3:20)
a. Lauren motioned, Mark seconded. Minutes approved.
5. TSPLOST 2023 project proposals (4:20)
a. Draft list of projects to present to M&C.
b. 4 AiM projects made first list (Small sidewalks & Atl Hwy full amount, Big bucket &
Lexington Rd – alternates)
6. Park Planning (17:35)
a. Todd Miller
7. Staff Updates (17:35)
a. Cemetery/Greenway trail is being graded, clearing trees, silk fences down
b. Bridge over Trail Creek making progress
c. Wayfinding on Firefly Trail is close to production/Greenway this year
8. Bike/PED Coordinator (26:17)
a. Working on bike Lane inventory and clarification of bicycle ordinances
b. Creating job descriptions for an Education Specialist and Vision Zero Specialist
c. Applied for grant to cover additional expenses to Tallassee Rd bridge project
d. Complete Streets policy – working with City Manager Blaine Williams
e. RAISE grant was not accepted. Will revamp and include an alternate proposal next year
9. Corridor committees (1:04:29)
a. Lexington Rd corridor – No meeting.
b. Atlanta Hwy Corridor – Surveying Mitchell Bridge/Timothy Rd. Presentation from
Crystal Corbin, Inclusion office. Discussed connection of transportation and equity.
c. Prince Ave Corridor – Mark shared public input and user group survey results.
10. AIMC Committees (1:10:40)
a. UGA – Operation SafeDrive vehicle and bicycle inspections
b. Grants and Data – no update on the “Blinky/Flashy”
c. Policy and Projects – meeting next Wednesday
d. Education and Communication – working on budget/strategy
e. East Athens held Family Bike/Ped Day
