Minutes Housekeeping Welcome ● Ed Maioriello, Greenway Commission ● We do not have quorum; no voting, only updates will be given Email & Training ● ACCGov email is currently down for browsers ● Training due July 31 Spending Update ● Previous Balance: $10, 781.86 ▪ 300 Adult Vests have been ordered – $2,493.82 ▪ 300 Children’s Vests have been ordered – $842 ▪ 200 Bicycle Lights Adult Vest have been ordered through Bike Athens – $1,640 ▪ 300 Bicycle Locks have been ordered – $2,250 ▪ 20 Bike racks have been ordered – $2,334.13 ● Remaining balance – $1,221.91 ▪ Will be used for equipment for the BikeAthens mobile bike shop Staff Updates (13:30) Parking Planning – Todd Miller, Park Planning Coordinator (via Daniel Sizemore) ● Firefly Trail Expansion – Sealer will be applied to bridge on July 17. Will be closed until July 21. ● Greenway Trail Carr’s Creek – Grading work has begun. Estimated completion February 2024 ● Firefly Trail Expansion Phase III – SPLOST office working on acquiring construction easements Transportation and Public Works – Daniel Sizemore, Bike, Pedestrian and Safety Coordinator/Shirelle Hallum, Vision Zero Coordinator ● Barber Street Project ○ Commission defined option (CDO) passed. From Prince to Boulevard will be 10-12-foot MUP. 2 ● Other Projects ○ AiM Projects + updates ■ Riverbend Road MUP (AiM) – next up for Mayor & Commission ■ Jefferson River Road MUP (AiM) ■ Cherokee Road MUP (AiM) – working on design. Will need funding source ■ North Avenue Project (AiM) – working on grant agreement ■ Prince Avenue Project (TSPLOST 2018 Prince Ave User Group) – short term updates are being installed. Re-striping and having zippers installed. Long term updates coming in winter or spring (re-paving/re-config) ■ Lexington sidewalks (TSPLOST 2018 Lexington User Group) – Georgia Safe Sidewalks has been contracted to reduce sidewalk barriers ■ Atlanta Hwy (TSPLOST 2018 Atl Hwy User Group) – Working on design, at or near 85% plans.
