Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration Special Called Provisional Ballot Review & Election Certification Minutes November 6, 2020 @ 5:00 PM Virtual Meeting (due to COVID-19 precautions) https://youtu.be/UKVWUx5emac The meeting of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections was held on Friday, November 6, 2020, via youtube. Jesse Evans, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 5:22 pm. Board Members present: Willa Fambrough, Secretary; Rocky Raffle, Board Member; Charles Knapper, Vice Chairperson; Patricia Till, Board Member; Board Members absent: NONE Others Present: Charlotte Sosebee, Director; Deborah Lonon, ACCGU Asst. City Manager; Aletha Perkins, Recording Clerk; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant. A. Reading of the Board Member Oath of Office [OCGA § 21-2-70] “I do swear (or affirm) that I will as a member of the board of elections duly attend all ensuing primaries and elections during the continuance thereof, that I will to the best of my ability prevent any fraud, deceit, or abuse in carrying on the same, that I will make a true and perfect return of such primaries and elections, and that I will at all times truly, impartially, and faithfully perform my duties in accordance with Georgia laws to the best of my judgment and ability.” B. Adopt Agenda (1:05) Motion made by Mr. Raffle to adopt the agenda. Motion 2nd by Ms. Fambrough. Motion passed unanimously. C. Public Comment-NONE D. General Election-November 3, 2020 Provisional Ballots (26:25) Motion made by M. Raffle to table the discussion of Provisional accepted/rejected ballots until City Attorney Judd Drake can answer questions. Motion 2nd by Ms. Till. Motion passed unanimously. (55:41) Motion made by Mr. Knapper to approve the 56 Provisional Ballots listed on the approval list. Motion 2nd by Ms. Till. Motion passed unanimously. (56:56) Motion made by Ms. Till to approve the 87 Provisional Rejected Ballots listed on the rejected list. Motion 2nd by Mr. Knapper. Motion passed 4 yes; Mr. Raffle abstained Absentee Ballots-No additional ballots required adjudication Election Certification Page 1 of 2  (2:40:25) Motion made by Mr. Knapper to certify the November 3, 2020 General Election.
