Unapproved Minutes - Regular Meeting Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration February 9, 2021 @ 4:30pm 2555 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605 Due to COVID-19 precautions, this meeting was livestreamed and can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi79PGmdeIA& Bylaws of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (bit.ly/accboerbylaws) Chair Fambrough called the meeting to order at 4:33. In attendance were Willa Fambrough, Chairperson; Rocky Raffle, Vice Chairperson; Adam Shirley, Secretary; Ann Till, Member; and Hank Qadir, Member. Others in attendance were Charlotte Sosebee, Director; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Judd Drake, County Attorney. A. The Board Member Oath of Office (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-70) was read by Mr. Shirley. B. The agenda was adopted. Motion by Mr. Qadir, seconded by Mr. Raffle. Approved unanimously. C. The minutes from the January 12, 2021, regular meeting were approved. Motion by Mr. Raffle, seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. D. There were no public comments to be read. E. Director Sosebee gave the Director’s Report. F. Old Business was discussed. 1. GIS update a. MOTION by Mr. Raffle to table the GIS update agenda item until our April regular meeting. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. 2. New precincts for 2022 a. MOTION by Mr. Raffle to drop this agenda item under old business from the agenda and add an agenda item under new business that will address 6B to a discussion at our March 9 meeting. Seconded by Mr. Qadir. Approved unanimously. 3. Time limits on agenda items a. MOTION by Mr. Shirley to remove this item from the agenda. Seconded by Mr. Raffle. G. New Business was discussed. 1. Discussion of voter education a. MOTION by Mr. Qadir to remove this item from the agenda and have further discussion sometime in the future when we get budget approved. Seconded by Mr. Shirley. Approved unanimously. H. Announcements 1. March Regular Meeting a. March 9, 2021 @ 4:30pm I. MOTION by Mr. Raffle to adjourn. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. Adjourned at 5:44.
