Minutes - Regular Meeting Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration March 8, 2022 @ 4:30pm Due to COVID-19 precautions, this meeting was livestreamed and can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3PAOnAU75M Bylaws of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (bit.ly/accboebylaws) Chair Raffle called the meeting to order at 4:31pm. In attendance were Rocky Raffle, Chair; Ann Till, Vice Chair; Willa Fambrough, Member; and Hank Qadir, Member. Others in attendance were Charlotte Sosebee, Elections Supervisor; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant; Audra Taylor, Elections Assistant; Niki Jones, Assistant County Manager; and Sherrie Hines, Assistant County Attorney. A. The Board Member Oath of Office was read by Mr. Raffle . (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-70). B. Motion by Ms. Fambrough to adopt the agenda. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. C. Approval of Minutes D. Public Comment was read from J. Elsner, Athens GA. E. Director Sosebee gave the Director ’s Report. 1. Overview of policy around absentee ballot drop box discussed by Director Sosebee. 2. Board Pay-Tabled until the April meeting F. Old Business 1. Motion by Ms. Fambrough to table discussion of law enforcement quick reference guide to April meeting. Motion seconded by Mr. Qadir. Approved unanimously. 2. Motion by Ms. Till to table discussion of payroll study viz. poll workers’ pay raise. Motion seconded by Ms. Fambrough. Approved unanimously. G. New Business 1. Board designees for the Vote Review Panel and Ballot Duplication Panel H. Announcements 1. April Regular Meeting a. Tuesday, April 12, 2022 @ 4:30pm 2. Upcoming voter registration deadlines for upcoming elections a. April 25 is the deadline to register in order to vote in the May 24 election b. April 25 is the deadline to register in order to vote in the June 21 runoff (if necessary) c. May 23 is the deadline to register in order to vote in federal contests in the June 21 runoff (if necessary) I. MOTION by Ms. Fambrough to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Qadir. Approved unanimously. Adjourned at 5:14pm.
