Minutes - Emergency Meeting Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration November 21, 2022 4:00pm 2555 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605 This meeting was livestreamed and can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKnqxc-VHQg Chair Raffle called the meeting to order at 4:00pm. In attendance were Rocky Raffle, Chair; Ann Till, Vice Chair; Adam Shirley, Secretary; Willa Fambrough, Member; and Hank Qadir, Member. Others in attendance were Charlotte Sosebee, Elections Supervisor; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant; Aletha Perkins; Judd Drake, County Attorney; and 8 members of the public. A. MOTION by Ms. Till to adopt the agenda. Seconded by Ms. Fambrough. Approved unanimously. B. Public Comment was heard from Caitlin May, Jacqueline Elsner, Jami Mays, and Jesse Evans, Anisha Ariff, Vasu Abhiraman, and Julie Duncan. Emailed public comment was read from Karen Covi, Regina Smith, Julie Range, Beth Preston, Angela Greene, Betty Rice, Bob and MeLani Maysenhalder, Shaye Gambrell, Andrew Ferguson, Jessica Decatrel, Chuck Cantley, Patrick Sheridan, Sandra Whitney, Aaron Farnham, and Joan Rhoden. C. Consideration of Adding Advance Voting on Saturday, November 26, for the December 6 Runoff MOTION by Mr. Qadir to recess until 5:30. Seconded by Ms. Fambrough. Approved unanimously. Meeting went into recess at 5:20. Meeting returned from recess at 5:30. MOTION by Ms. Fambrough to add advance voting on Saturday, November 26, from 9am until 5pm at 155 E Washington Street and 410 McKinley Drive, for the December 6, 2022, runoff unless the enforcement of the lower court ruling issued by Fulton Superior Court Judge Thomas Cox is overruled. Seconded by Mr. Raffle. Motion carries 3-2. Voting in favor: Fambrough, Raffle, Shirley. Voting against: Qadir, Till. D. Announcements 1. December Regular Meeting, Tuesday, December 13, 4:30pm, at 120 W Dougherty Street 5. Upcoming deadlines for 2022 runoff election a. November 23: earliest day we can mail regular absentee ballots b. November 26: advance voting begins for December general election runoff (possibly November 26, pending the board’s decision at this meeting) c. November 28: last day to submit absentee ballot application for December general election runoff  d. December 6: Election Day: last day to vote in person in the December general election runoff E.
