NOTE: Items Assigned - Future Consideration:
Develop a draft ordinance for presentation to the Mayor and Commission by the end of CY 2019 (extended but needs to
move forward in the next six months) eliminating plastic bags and Styrofoam containers at points-of-purchase, including at
least a 12 month phase-in timeline for community-wide education and distribution of alternative items. The committee
should engage with retail and restaurant businesses to identify alternatives for their use of these products. They should also
develop a timeline for elimination of these items at events on ACC public property. (Update: Attorney’s office needs data to
show bag impacts in ACC before ban would be acceptable. Staff/residents using DebrisTracker App to attempt data
collection for impact information.)

Make a recommendation to the M & C regarding the future of our residential collection zones and franchise arrangements,
and consider/modifying the status of collections that create differences in the urban services district and general services
district.
