Motion to approve the minutes of the Administrative Services Attachments Committee held on September 29, 2014. www.augustaga.gov Administrative Services Committee Meeting 10/13/2014 1:15 PM Continuum Of Care 2014 Application Department: Housing and Community Development Caption: Authorize Submission of all 2014 Application Exhibits and documentation for the Continuum of Care Application to HUD and grant the Mayor the authority to execute all forms associated with the application, which also include Submission of the Follow-up Technical Submission Application, Renewal Grant Agreements and Annual Progress Reports (APR). Background: Each year the Housing & Community Development Department applies to HUD for funding through an annual Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Programs (this is a competitive application process). These funds are used to support the Homeless Information Management System (HMIS), for administrative services, and Technical Assistance to partner agencies. Furthermore, this grant renews each year at the same amount (HMIS Program - $184,475) from October 1 to September 30 of the following year. Analysis: Approval will allow the City of Augusta to continue providing comprehensive services to the homeless population of Augusta- Richmond County. Financial Impact: These are additional funds received from HUD through a competitive application process to the City of Augusta for continued operation of the Homeless Information Management System (HMIS) and services. There are five (5) additional projects funded through this application for services (1), transitional housing (2) and permanent supportive housing (2) programs. Alternatives: None recommended Recommendation: Approve Submission of the CoC Application to HUD, and grant the Mayor the authority to execute all forms associated with the Application, which also include Submission of the Follow-up Technical Submission Application, Renewal Grant Agreements Cover Memo and Annual Progress Reports (APR).
