Approve and accept a grant award for the continuation of the Victim Of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant with funding of $74,902.00 from the Criminal Justice Coordination Council of Georgia (CJCC) to provide services to crime victims for the period of October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024 and authorize the Mayor to execute the necessary documents. Motion to approve. Motion made by Garrett, Seconded by Mason. Voting Yea: Smith-McKnight, Mason, Williams, Garrett Motion carries 4-0. 2. Accept an award from Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) in the amount of $58,500.00 to enhance the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Canine Unit. Motion to approve. Motion made by Garrett, Seconded by Mason. Voting Yea: Smith-McKnight, Mason, Williams, Garrett Motion carries 4-0. 3. Motion to approve the minutes of the Public Safety Committee held on November 14, 2023. Motion to approve. Motion made by Garrett, Seconded by Mason.
