CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE TO FLAG

PUBLIC COMMENT
1. Brenda Valletta was present to update the Board on the progress of the tax bills.
ACTION ITEMS
1. A MOTION to accept Police Directives 2.2.1, 2.2.2 and 2.2.3 (Rank Descriptions for Chief
of Police, Police Officer and Acting Rank) was made by Engle, seconded by Gorman. All
were in favor. MOTION carried. A MOTION was made by Engle, seconded by Gorman
to amend the MOTION and to insert the interchangeable masculine and feminine pronouns
(he or she), seconded by Gorman. All were in favor. MOTION carried.
2. A MOTION to appoint Nadine Moyer to the Recreation Advisory Board for a term to
expire on December 31, 2019 was made by Rhodes, seconded by Bilotta. All were in favor.
MOTION carried.
3. A MOTION was made by Rhodes to accept the 2015 Annual Audit, seconded by
Goffredo. All were in favor. MOTION carried.
4. A MOTION was made by Schweitzer, seconded by Gorman to designate Manager Dysard
as the Alternate on the Slate Belt COG Board. All were in favor. MOTION carried.
5. A MOTION to adopt the Tax Collector Compensation Ordinance #968 was made by
Schweitzer, seconded by Goffredo. All were in favor. MOTION carried.
6. A MOTION to authorize advertisement of the Recreation Advisory Board Ordinance #969
was made by Rhodes, seconded by Bilotta. All were in favor, MOTION carried.
7. A MOTION was made by Rhodes, seconded by Engle to approve getting an appraisal of
the Authority Office Building not to exceed $2,500. All were in favor. MOTION carried.
OFFICIALS AND COMMITTEES REPORTS
1. Schweitzer commented that Christine Mammi is temporarily filling in for the Animal
Control Officer appointed by the COG.
2. Gorman commented that the Recreation Board had a meeting and they are getting ready to
start their summer events.
3. Mayor Capozzolo commented that the Broadway Pub sponsored an event for first
responders and that it was very nice.
4. Council President Kresge commented that he talked to Ken Brewer and other students are
showing interest in being Junior Council Members. Also, the Civil Service Commission
had their second meeting and they will be moving forward with the Rules and Regulations.
5. Manager Dysard complimented Public Works on their good job during the recent snow
event. Also, Dysard mentioned that the Business Association will be attending the next
Council meeting to go over some events that they are planning for this year.
6. Goffredo mentioned that residents approached him with compliments on the good job
Public Works did during the last storm.
7. Bilotta questioned Dysard on violations given to residents that do not shovel sidewalks.
Dysard indicated that violations have been going out.
OTHER COMMENTS
1. David Houser discussed moving permits on Grand Avenue. Dysard will follow up with
Codes Enforcer Joe Hoffman.
2. Janet Miller reported that there is a 30-foot camper parked in the alley by her house.

A MOTION to adjourn was made by Rhodes, seconded by Engle. All were in favor.
MOTION carried.
The Bangor Borough Council Meeting adjourned at 7:42 P.M.
