A portion of the building or structure is damaged by fire, wind, flood, or other cause so that the structural strength or stability is appreciably less than it was before the act and the building code of the city for a new building or structure, purpose or location. 1454.01(6) . . . The building, structure, or a part of the building or structure is manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which it is used. 1454.01(7). . . The building or structure is damaged by fire, wind or flood, or is dilapidated or deteriorated and becomes an attractive nuisance to children who might play in the building or structure to their danger, or becomes a harbor for vagrants, criminal, or immoral persons, or enables persons to resort to the building or structure for committing a nuisance or an unlawful or immoral act. Property owner Diana Hale was present. She stated the cost to fix the house was too great and she is letting it revert to the county for taxes. Carman Hamilton asked if there were any comments. Property owner (425-429 Capital)was not present but his representative, Chad Basse, was present. He stated they want to Demolish the building but it is attached to another property (421-425 Capital) and the cost is too great.
