1. Call to Order: 1:05
2. Roll Call: Carman Hamilton
3. Staff Members Present: Dennis McKinley, Code Compliance Administrator and Lisa
Silkworth, Secretary
4. Additions/Deletions to the Agenda: none
5. Approval of Minutes: Mr. Hamilton approved the minutes from the June 12, 2013 meeting.

Code Compliance Administrator: Dennis McKinley
Property owner, not present. Dennis McKinley, Code Compliance
Administrator, reported the house has been vacant for over 180 days,
lacks property maintenance and has no water service. Mr. Hamilton
affirmed it as a dangerous building and granted thirty days to bring it
into compliance.

Property owner, not present. William Jozwiak, owner of 71 Fairview, is
concerned about the condition of the house. Mr. Jozwiak wants to

Compliance Administrator, noted the property was severely damaged
by fire on June 2, 2013. Mr. McKinley also stated the house is posted
as condemned. Mr. Jozwiak noted concerns with his house due to the
condition of this house. Mr. Jozwiak wanted to know if there would be
problems in the rental process on his home at 71 Fairview due to the
fire. Mr. Hamilton affirmed it as a dangerous building and granted
thirty days to bring it into compliance.

Code Compliance Administrator: Dennis McKinley
Property owner, Gary Loyd, present. Dennis McKinley, Code
Compliance Administrator noted the property has been damaged by
fire. Mr. McKinley also stated that repairs will require permits to be
pulled. Mr. Loyd, is the land contract holder of record and he stated he
had no insurance on the property. Mr. McKinley noted the City of
Battle Creek will not take the property and the owner will be
responsible for the property. Mr. Loyd stated he is unable to make the
repairs. Mr. Hamilton confirmed it as a dangerous building and
granted thirty days to bring it into compliance.
