DANGEROUS BUILDINGS HEARING NOTICE AND AGENDA January 10, 2018 1:00 P.M. CITY HALL 10 N. DIVISION STREET COMMISSION CHAMBERS 3RD FLOOR – ROOM 301 BATTLE CREEK MI 49014 1. Call to Order: 1:05pm 2. Roll Call: Carman Hamilton 3. Staff Members Present: Marcie Gillette, Community Services Director; Dennis McKinley, Community Asset Administrator; Lisa Silkworth, Secretary 4. Additions/Deletions to the Agenda: none 5. Approval of Minutes: Carman Hamilton made a motion to approve the minutes from the December 13, 2017 meeting. 6. New Business: a. 125 Clay Issue#EN17-12681 Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson Property owner, not present. Dennis McKinley, Community Asset Administrator, stated the violations were noted during a building permit inspection. MR. McKinley stated the house has been condemned and unsafe for human occupancy. Mr. Hamilton affirmed the property as a Dangerous Building and gave thirty days to bring it into compliance. Affirmed b. 15 Fremont Pl Issue#EN17-12513 Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson Property owner, not present. Dennis McKinley, Community Asset Administrator, stated the house was heavily damaged by fire and recommended affirming it as a Dangerous Building. Mr. Hamilton affirmed the property as a Dangerous Building and gave thirty days to bring it into compliance.
