DANGEROUS BUILDINGS HEARING MINUTES March 13, 2019 1:00 P.M. CITY HALL 10 N. DIVISION STREET COMMISSION CHAMBERS 3RD FLOOR – ROOM 301 BATTLE CREEK MI 49014 1. Call to Order: 1:05 pm 2. Roll Call: Carman Hamilton 3. Staff Members Present: Don Wilkinson, Building Official; Richard Bolek, Chief Building Official, Angela Hubbard, Secretary 4. Additions/Deletions to the Agenda: 5. Approval of Minutes: Mr. Hamilton approved the minutes from the February 13, 2019 meeting. Approved 6. New Business: a. 16 W Helen M Montgomery (House) Issue #EN19-00222 Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson Homeowner not present. Don Wilkinson, Building Official, stated property was extensively damaged by fire. Owner has applied for demo permit. Mr. Wilkinson recommended affirming the property as a Dangerous Building. Mr. Hamilton affirmed the property as a Dangerous Building and granted thirty days to bring it into compliance. Affirmed. b. 250 Graves (House) Issue #EN19-00002 Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson Homeowner not present. Mr. Wilkinson stated that home was heavily damaged by fire and is uninhabitable. Mr. Wilkinson recommended affirming the property as a Dangerous Building. Mr. Hamilton affirmed the property as a Dangerous Building and granted thirty days to bring it into compliance.
