WATER SYSTEM ADVISORY COUNSEL CITY HALL 10 N. DIVISION ST. ROOM 302A BATTLE CREEK, MI 49014 THURSDAY, MARCH 7, 2019 Members present: Carl Fedders, Perry Hart, Mark Behnke, Marcel Stoetzel, Chris Lussier, Kathy Enta Staff: Tara Penney, Customer Service Representative; Streets Call to Order: Carl Fedders called the meeting to order 11:00 am Election of Chairperson and other officers necessary or appropriate: Mark Behnke motioned to nominate Carl Fedders, Kathy Enta supported. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. Mark Behnke closed nominations. General discussion of the counsel purposes and responsibilities: Carl Fedders discussed the Michigan Lead and Copper Rule Revision and its summary of changes. A presentation was provided. Carl stated he would email this to the members. Also discussed was Michigan LCR revision, a diagram of service line, material system inventory. Kathy Etna stated her concern with getting residents to comply with City officials wanting to enter homes for service line replacements. Chris Lussier was in agreement. Member conversation about ideas of how to educate neighborhoods and build trust. Schedule of Meetings: Meetings will be held yearly. Next meeting unknown. Public Comment: none Adjournment: 11:55 am
