1. Call to Order: 1:02 pm
2. Roll Call: Carman Hamilton
3. Staff Members Present: Richard Bolek, Chief Building Official; Angela Hubbard, Secretary
4. Additions/Deletions to the Agenda: N/A
5. Approval of Minutes: Mr. Hamilton approved the minutes from the June 12, 2019 meeting.

a. 283 Michigan Ave W (Commercial Building)

Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson
Property owner not present. Mr. Bolek stated that
violations were found due to a Police Department
raid. Property was found in extreme disrepair, as well
as having an illegal grow operation, and occupants
living in the property. Mr. Bolek recommended
affirming the property as a Dangerous Building. Mr.
Hamilton affirmed the property as a Dangerous
Building and granted thirty days to bring it into
compliance. Affirmed.
b. 82 Byron (House)

Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson
Homeowner, Kelli Bradley, present. Richard Bolek,
Chief Building Official, stated property was
extensively damaged by fire. Mr. Bolek wanted to
hear the homeowner’s intention before making the
determination of the property being a Dangerous
Building. Ms. Bradley stated she would like to

reschedule the inspection as the original inspection
did not happen due to no one being at the property to
let the inspector in. Ms. Bradley stated that she is
unsure what to do with property. Her mother, trying to
assist Ms. Bradley, has spoken to a contractor, but he
doesn’t want to quote anything until after the city
inspection. Mr. Bolek explained to Ms. Bradley how
the Dangerous Building and Housing Board of
Appeals processes work and the process of Fire
Escrow. Mr. Bolek recommended affirming the
property as a Dangerous Building. Mr. Hamilton
affirmed the property as a Dangerous Building and
granted thirty days to bring into compliance. Affirmed.
