City of Battle Creek Election Commission Meeting 10 N. Division Street – Room 111 Battle Creek, MI October 13, 2015 10:00 AM Present: Jill Steele, Steve Hudson and Vicki Houser Absent: None Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 10:00 A.M. Approval of Minutes: City Clerk Houser noted the first order of business was the approval of the August 31, 2015 meeting minutes. A motion was made by Steve Hudson, supported by Jill Steele, to approve the August 31, 2015 Election Commission meeting minutes. All yes, none opposed. Motion carried. Appointment of Election Inspectors for November 3, 2015: Clerk Houser informed the Commission that all Election Inspectors had been assigned, stating they would need 90 Election Inspectors, which would include 13 Chairpersons, 3 Co-Chairpersons, 13 EPB operators, 1 Co-EPB operators, 42 Inspectors and 8 Alternate Inspectors. Ms. Houser noted she would also have up to 5 Receiving Boards, consisting of 4 managers, 5 staff members and one Election Inspector. A motion was made by Jill Steele, supported by Steve Hudson, to approve the hiring of 90 Election Inspectors for the November 3, 2015 City General Election. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved.
