Goguac Lake Board Meeting Minutes Department of Public Works Room 204 September 8, 2022 Board Members Present: Mark Behnke; Gerardyne Drozdowski; Ron Smith; John Avery Others Present: Kurt Tribbett, City Engineering; Patty Hoch-Melluish, City Environmental; Paul Hausler, Progressive AE; Luke Aaron, Progressive AE; Nelson Karre, attorney; Andrew Falkenberg, Regional Assessing Manager Call to Order: Avery called meeting to order at 4:30 pm. Approval of Minutes: Behnke moved to approve the June 9, 2022 minutes. Avery seconded. All yes, motion carried. 2022 Budget: Tribbett presented Goguac Lake Board 2022 budget. Behnke moved to approve. Drozdowski seconded. All yes, motion carried. Aquatic Plant Control: Hausler presented current lake management status. Treatments and outcomes to date. Tribbett reported that Gardner Brothers will not do weed collection in 2023. They have staffing issues. Assessment Process: Falkenberg discussed the five property owners with parcels on the north end of the lake requesting to have their backlot assessment removed and have the shared parcel they own with Lake frontage divided and assessed as frontage. Summary: 1. Assessor recommends removing the backlot assessment status of four parcels. 2. Assessor recommends not adjusting the assessment roll at this point in the process for the 2023-2027 assessment. 3. Assessor recommends not making a change regarding the fifth lot in this group as that currently has lake frontage. Behnke moved. Avery seconded. All approved. Public Comments: None Board Member Comments: Karre noted that the Notice of Approval of the Special Assessment Roll will need to published in the Shopper News.
