ADDITIONS / DELETIONS TO AGENDA: APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES: MOTION MADE BY MR. KIM TUCK TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FOR THE JULY 9, 2018 HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION MEETING, SECONDED BY MR. JOHN PAUL WILSON. ALL IN FAVOR; NONE OPPOSED; MINUTES APPROVED CORRESPONDENCE: None OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: A. City of Battle Creek H-14-18: Request for a Notice to Proceed for Demolition the former City of Battle Creek Police Station, located at 20 N Division St Battle Creek, MI Therefore, planning staff recommends approval of a Notice to Proceed be issued to the City of Battle Creek for Demolition of the old police building at 20 N Division St, if the Commission is satisfied that the Applicant can meet at least one of the criteria outlined in Chapter 1470.09(e) “Review of Applications”, and the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines, as outlined in the staff report. MOTION MADE BY MR. KIM TUCK TO APPROVE THE NOTICE TO PROCEED FOR THE DEMOLATION OF THE FORMER POLICE BUILDING LOCATED AT 20 N DIVISION ST; SECONDED BY MR. JOHN PAUL WILSON. VOTE ON MOTION: ALL IN FAVOR; NONE OPPOSED; MOTION CARRIED. With no others wishing to speak, Chairperson Hopkins closed the public hearing.
