POST/FRANKLIN NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING COUNCIL

7:00 PM
The Chair Diana Quigg called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at CAA Boardroom
Attendance:
Members Present: Cindy Fritz, Pat Shellenberger, Yvonne Powell, John Cash, ,Linda Carrmona, Diana
Quigg and James Moreno.
Members Excused: Deborah Perkins, Eloise Fogg and Katie Hubbard.
Guests and Visitors: William Hazel, Dennis McKinley - Code Compliance, Brad Palmer and Thomas
wirebaugh - BCPD and Brad Barney, Jayeson Thac and J Clear - BCFD..
Additions and Deletions to the Agenda: None.
Approval of Minutes: Motion was made by Jim Moreno and seconded by Cindy Fritz that December,
February and March minutes be approved. Motion carried.
Correspondence and Announcements: It was announced that the community garden opens April 25th. .
COMMITTEE AND STAFF REPORTS:
The following Code and Police issues were reported.
Police: Brad Palmer handed out the crime report.
21 E, Kingman - CPS issue. Unknown population - 6 kids unknown # of adults.
Police let us know about all the speed carts being put up around area.
Code: Dennis McKinley handed out the code report.
108 E. Kingman - County aware of concerns Porch collapsed on one side
14 New England - wall collapsing
87 High St, 148 South Ave, 332 Main and 31 Caine - being demolished
15 and 94 Warren,
Planning: None
Beautiful Battle Creek Award: There were no nominations this month.
If you see a property that you feel deserves a BBC Award you may nominate that property, all that is required
is the address. The council will then vote and the address is submitted to City Neighborhood Planning Office
who will then proceed with the issuing of the Award. Note – once we submit the addresses the City takes
control of the process and we have no say when an address will be awarded. If any member should have a
question regarding an address that was submitted they need only ask and the inquiry will be made to the
City and the outcome will be documented in the minutes. The update below is provided so that all have a
record of what has been processed and what is pending.
