WESTALKE/PRAIRIEVIEW NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING COUNCIL #10 Meeting Minutes November 23, 2015 Lakeview Senior Living Center 14661 S. Helmer Call to Order & Welcome Chair, Jeff Koteles called the meeting to order at 7:00pm Attendance: Members: Chairman: Jeff Koteles, Vice Chair Dave Weaver, Tom Rose, Mike Troutman, Diana Cole, Mary Lou Ramon, Christian Plasencia Guests: Commissioner Kaytee Faris, Mary Ludlow, Jack Ludlow City staff: BC Officer Derick Walters, BC Officer John Chrenenko, Jason Francisco city code compliance and assistant city manager Ted Dearing Chair Notes/Correspondence/Announcements: Jeff noted that the historical committee and planning commission meetings Additions/Deletions to the Agenda: none Police Report: Officer Walters handed out written reports. Larceny of unlocked vehicles is still a problem. Car deer accidents are up. Officer Chrenenko spoke on the bank robbery on sw capital at the PNC bank. Public service announcements from commissioners: Commissioner Kaytee Faris said the recent city commission meeting had discussions on smart water meters, updated their code of ethics and approved the tattoo parlor for Columbia Ave Committee Reports: Membership: looking for new members Woodland Park: benches have been installed. Blue bird house have been repaired by an Eagle Scout City Staff Report: Jason Francisco reported that front yard park was being addressed, this month had less early/late garbage can complaints. Minutes: it was motioned by Dave Weaver and seconded by Mike Troutman to approve the October minutes. Approved the October minutes 7-0 Old Business: voted 7-0 to keep meeting at Lakeview Senior Living Special Presentation: Assistant City Manager Ted Dearing led a discussion on possible improvements to the Columbia Ave corridor.
