City Staff Reports:
Police Report: Officer Rivera handed out reports.
Kelly Dillman of the Byrne Grant and Be Safe told us that the
Steering Committee met discussing how the grant writing was

Code Report: Chris Lussier handed out reports and a map of the 2017-18

Commissioner Report: Subjects asked of Commissioner Simmons were the
Payment by the City to house prisoners in the County Jail. Questions on

Were asked. We were told information will be sent in the water bill.
Schools: Wes Seeley (BCPS) told us they are in the midst of their transformation
(New curriculums, library updates and more). In the future two new
Schools will open (Fremont will have languages and a Stem School at the
High School-application only). Their “reading buddy” program still needs
Volunteers. An attendance program implemented called “challenges”.

Membership: A motion by Jerry Dill 2nd Robert J. Kist to accept

She passed out the Parks and Recreation Master Plan Purpose & Process.
Their mission is to provide recreation programs and services that improve

Their planning process will include public input, NPC Meetings and an
Assessment survey; draft plan (open one month for review and comment
And open houses to review plans); Planning Commission; Public Hearing;
Public Hearing; City Commission; Submit to DNR (where Grants come from-
Recent one Willard Beach). She handed out a survey to all in attendance.
Public/Guest Comments: A guest stated that on his runs he found the water
Fountains in Bailey Park were not working.
Members Comment: Gloria mentioned some upcoming functions.
