CALL TO ORDER: TIME CONVENED - 7:04 pm
ATTENDANCE:
Members: Tim Conlogue, Robert Kist, Cynde Foster, Gloria Manchester, Jessica Lamson

ADDITION OR DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA; None
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES; The minutes of October 8, 2024, November 14, 2024, January 9,
2025 and February 13, 2025 could not be approved as there was no quorum.
CITY STAFF REPORTS;
Police Department: Officer Barrons passed out reports and a picture of a person of interest
in graffiti spraying around town; if seen call 911. He also mentioned a group of teens dressed in
black and carrying backpacks breaking into cars ; if you see them, call 911. Be vigilent, turn on
outside lights and lock your cars and remove objects of value.
Code Report: Megan passed out reports and said any problems can be turned into her. Early
& late garbage a concern and junk & trash easier to see. Property survey of NPC3
Being done in March. City alley ways are full of trash too.
COMMITTEE REPORTS;
Commissioner Report: Commissioner Sofia told us of the change to FOIA requests now being
done by the City Attorney's Office online instead of the Clerks Office - a computer
will be available in the City Hall Lobby. The City has received 19 applications for the City
Manager position. They will be gone through and narrowed down to finalists where
residents of the City can meet and ask questions. She thanked the City Staff that provides
information to the City Commissioners.
Schools: BCPS and Lakeveiw Districts- None
Membership (new additions/or deletions): None We are in need of new members
interested in making a positive difference, one night a month
Beautiful Battle Creek Award (residential and/or Business){ None
Business Report: A ACE HARDWWARE STORE has gone into the old Rite Aid in the Columbia
Plaza (next to Gordon's Food)
Networking Committee: None
OLD BUSINESS TO BE FINALIZED; None
NEW BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS; Tim Conlogue will contact John Hart to reschedule the
meetings he missed in 2024 as a Speaker.
SPEAKER; Perry Hart spoke to us about the Verona Well Field, the new wells being drilled. The
water problem with the water coming out of those wells and the
new letters that will be going out to residents. He explained the lead pipe letters (2nd
ones) that went out to residents. There is a survey on the City website
that residents can partake in and help the City find where there may be lead pipes
coming into the homes. They hope to have lead pipes wrapped up by 2037.
Any in homes should be replaced at no cost to home owners.. you can use filters on
faucets or a pitcher to remove contaminations The City will be flushing
fire hydrants. You will see people out doing camera exploration of the City sewer lines-
for which ones need to be cleaned out.

MEMBERS COMMENTS; Jessica mentione the Eart Day festivities to be held at Trinity
Neighborhood Center. You can find information on their FB page. Janet Wilson
will be in attendance.
