Program: NPC4 meeting planning – Mark Jones
Attended NIBC workshop and will be incorporating some of the items learned there. Discussion
about some specific items.
Discussion regarding various forms of Meeting Minutes. Examples from other city committees
presented for example.

Police Report – Ryan Thayer
General notes. More assaults and minor crime with warmer weather.
Specific Incidences:
Prostitutes taking clients to the back stairs of St. Paul Lutheran Church
Kids playing with downed telephone, cable and power lines.
Speeding on Orchard Place
Speeding on Harvard Street
** Motion: by John Hennink, 2nd by Szenoria Smith – “Request that, if possible, we get
the Police Reports that were available in 2008. If not possible, then the current
Police Reports be sorted by street name, street block and then classification” –

Code Compliance – Dennis McKinley
The code compliance officer in our area is Eric Campbell.

NW is printing the crime diaries and get ready to distribute them in late April
Beautiful Battle Creek Awards
Glenn Holmwall is appointed BBCA chair and all future suggestions should be routed to him

Laura Adams will be giving us a report each month.
Locks have been changed as several organizations such as JONAH and Community Gardens are now
meeting elsewhere.
Open House for New Homeowners in NPC #4 coming in May
Brenda Hunt at the Battle Creek Community Foundation has some grant funds available for
neighborhood programs.
