Guests: Jill Steele and Marcel Stoetzel will discussed the code compliance appeals process and problem properties.
83 N. McKinley, 255 Cherry St. and 17 S. Wabash will be specific examples of ongoing problem properties in
NPC#4. Going forth, the city will make an effort to keep the NPC better informed of Housing Board of Appeals
meetings and court dates for violation appeals within the NPC. NPC members are encouraged to attend HBA
meetings and “show cause” hearings. Residents can look-up district court cases online using the defendant’s first
and last name. The city is actively researching ways to make this system more efficient. One possibility would be
setting up a quasi magistrate within the city that would act as a hearing board. With such a board, administrative
costs could be collected the city and not the county court. This board would decrease manpower and recuperate the
cost involved with the appeals process.
Old Business

teams continue to meet to plan a strategy to address and correct these drivers.
