With quorum met, the Sept minutes were approved. program police report: Officer Skaggs went over the Sept department report. Part 1 crimes (more serious) were flat, part 2 (less serious) up. The department is being more proactive in collecting firearms. Lamented the lack of cooperation from witnesses in providing evidence to the police is hampering the solving of crime. city report: Chris Lussier lauded the pro bonum work of Eric Reed. JP cited his clean up work at Benjamin Park. Property values of the 30,000 parcels in our npc, increased by $250 billion from 2010 figures. The minor home repair service provided by the city was discussed. commission: Sherry Sofia noted action was pending on the extension of business hours from 9 pm to midnight for provisioning centers in the city. Reminded people that absentee ballots can be picked up and returned to the city clerk office. elections: JP re elected chair, Robert vice chair, David S.notetaker BCPS: Chandra reported football playoff possibilities was the talk at the high school. beautiful BC awards: Chris explained the program. membership: Dave Morgan voiced he would like to become a npc member. schedule: Meeting the third Wednesday of the month @ 7pm at First Congregational Church with the exception of Dec, Jul, Aug was approved. comments: Jim Haadsma reported state appropriations for electric vehicle plants, college students and mental health for police and firefighters.
