Minutes: NE planning council #4 Meeting date: Wed 3.15.23 members: JP Wilson, Dave Morgan, Mary Conklin, Dave Salerno, Mary Lusk, Robert Konkrite, Chandra Youngblood Guests: Roger Koning, Duska Brumm, Todd Everson, Jerrod Lepper, Darryn Gorman with quorum met Feb minutes approved BCPD: Officer Gorman said police are stopping unlicensed vehicles and having inoperative ones towed. Residents complained that the stop signs were being ignored at Sherman and Orchard and the Union, Wagner Dr intersection. JP would like to see the crosswalks painted or a type of speed bump to make drivers more aware of the need to stop. Todd replied that it would entail a traffic study. Code: Jerrod passed around the property survey report. They will continue to be working in the neighborhoods of our npc. Branch pickup from the ice storm by the city has been completed on the N side of town. Todd said to call if there is more to pick up. (9663507) Parks and recreation: Duska handed out a survey for input by residents on their concerns and suggestions for city parks and recreation activities. Putting together a new 5-year plan. Todd reported that maintenance should improve with the addition of four full time employees. BCPS: Chandra passed out flyers on the progress report for the public schools transformation and the varieties of options for middle school. Pending approval, Springfield middle school will have the same type of accreditation as Fremont (International Baccalaureate).
